Cashminder acc declined

I think you have to make it absolutely clear to the Coop, or any other bank for that matter, that you want the very basic account with no frills. They assume you want a better account which is why so many people are declined first time.

i applied for this account yesterday i hope i get one as i was refurred!

hey guys i still have not heard anything so i just rang them and they said it was still refured does this mean i have not got an account?

Not neccesarliy....if your getting the account has been referred message it means they're still running various background checks to verify who you are etc...i'd leave it a day or two and call again if you dont hear anything

Some members here got the same message as you and had an account open a few days later....as long as you made it CLEAR you wanted the cashminder account you shouldnt have any probs...people in the past have applied & been declined because the bank thought they wanted a standard account!

Nothing but good with me.....just be careful with DD's etc they have a 3 strikes and your out policy...which means if your account is o/d more than 3 times your out......their internet banking is a little slow to update so sometimes things that have come out of your acc dont show online for a while...apart from that good really
