    T&C 5.2

We may charge a handling fee of 2% (at least £2) for balance transfers and cheques offered at special promotional rates other than a special promotional rate you received when your account was opened

Some credit cards only give you free balance transfers if you apply for it on the card application form and not if you ring up afterwards.

I have just read about this.
I have a question if I use the amazon card on a small purchase to get the voucher, how do I pay off the debt on the card.
Sounds a daft question I know but my card is paid by direct debit in full each month.

If it is like any other HBoS card then you can pay it by sending a cheque in the post, using your current account's online banking to transfer the money electronically, by debit card via the card's online banking or by paying a cheque or cash into a HBoS branch.
  • How quick do you get the voucher?

I just got one of these cards, and phoned to activate it just now. From reading the T&C when I applied, I gathered that the six month 0% balance transfer had no fees attached.

The guy on the phone just told me that there is a 2% fee, with no maximum  I don't think I'm giving anything much away by saying my limit is £9,800. Therefore if I balance transferred most of that amount, the fee would be nearly £200. Very disappointing, as I read there were no fees in at least a couple of places before I applied

I've just applied for a card & been approved with a £7k limit. It does say on the T&C's on their site that there's no fee during the initial 6 months.

I will certainly be quoting this to them if they try to charge me...

I did a BT - there was no fee (that they told me about anyway), but could only transfer across a maximum of 90% (i think) of my credit limit...

I got it and BTed it straight away - if i use the card in 6 months time after i've cleared the balance, would i still get my £15 voucher d'ya think???
  • I've used my Amazon card once a couple of weeks ago and still not received my 'points voucher' - any know how long this will take?

    Good news!

The £2.00 Savers Club = £130.00 (Started Feb.06 -saving for a dream - to visit Thailand again!)
  • Got my Amazon voucher code via email today too. The points appear on your Amazon MasterCard statement and when you get to 1500 points (£15) the points are redeemed and handed over to Amazon who then email you a voucher code to use when making a purchase at https://www.amazon.co.uk.
