If we get evicted from a house can we never go back there again?

I believe that if you read through Blue Monkeys diary that you may think differently.
And as far as I know, they do not get a free living, they both appear to work.
Plus of course, they may get a house but it still has to be paid for via rent plus all the normal bills, around here, my housing association house is on a comparable level with other houses for renting....they are not free.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Who said anything about a free house?

Bf109, you are arguing from a position of complete ignorance and I'm afraid that you are really embarrassing yourself on here.

Nice for some people to get a 3-bed house for free.
The rest of us have to work everyday to pay for you.
What a horrible post.
Firstly, the OP's husband is working, full-time. The OP isn't, she is a carer for their disabled son.
SEcondly, you PAY RENT on a council house. It's not free!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
BF, you really should read the whole thread,
BM is not scrounging or demanding a place for the fun of it, her husband works, her family aren't helping, they are hindering, she has as much right to help in her time of need as all of us do.Nonny mouse and Proud!!
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!!

Thanks guys, bf, thanks for your understanding!!
I wish my husband did not work as the keys would be in our pockets!!
My husband works, I had my own business that I ran around my child - who is disabled I have recently found out, and so I was doing 5am to 7pm when he went to bed and then working on my own work from 7pm until Midnight. My business had to close when my mother said she was selling the house as we have not known from one day to the next just what is happening.
IF we lived somewhere that the rents were affordable then we would do that, when house prices come down then we will look into shared ownership - but right now we need some help. At the moment we cannot afford to do either as my husband is one of these'average paid workers' that you keep on hearing so much about. There has only been one month of our entire working lives between us of having claimed any benefit. I pay my class 2 NI's and I am not even working. I have always worked and my husband has always worked, except when he lost his job through industrial illness and then he found a job in 3 weeks - in fact he found 2 jobs and had to make a choice which one to take - but at 12k take home pay less than he was. But, work is work, you adjust your lifestyle somewhat. He is 37 and I am 36, we pay council tax and all our bills, as we will in our 'free house' that we will pay the full rent amount for. We do not claim benefits.
Aren't you lucky. I'd love to be standing on a platform waiting for my train knowing I had a house to go back to at the end of the day. Security for my family.
Thank you to the others who were helping support me with the pointers of the thread, that is most appreciated. I thought about running the cable too and getting a lock on the garage so I can keep the cats there. Fingers crossed we will not need it. Just have to wait and see if we get lucly enough to have enough points now.
bf, have you ever had to be evicted by your own mother just so you could go live in one room in a hostel at £170 a week - which we will have to pay for too. I came here for advice, not a slating, before you jump on your bandwaggon not all council house dwellers are !!!!!!!!!!s, just because we do not earn enouh money to rent or buy, and with the credit cruch there are going to be lots more like us. As I said before, if we earned the £2700 a month TAKE HOME pay the Letting Agents tell us we have to show them proof of before we even get a viewing I'd be buying my own house!! Sometimes people find help in different ways and things happen that are beyond your sontrol, you just have to deal the hand that is dealt and get on with it - but I have been asking help along the way to be sure I am doing all I can to keep my family safe.0 -
Blue Monkey, I can't offer any advice on your original question but wanted to say good luck with getting a place to live sorted out.0

Hi Blue_monkey
I have just read your thread - whilst I have no advice i wish you well and hope you get one of the 3 houses that look promising.0 -
Nice for some people to get a 3-bed house for free.
The rest of us have to work everyday to pay for you. I spent three hours standing on a platform today waiting for my train to come so that I could get home from work and back in the next day to pay for your house while desperately saving for my own one to start a family in while also paying taxes for your grace-and-favour home.
I hope you are grateful to the poor sods who have to work for a living and aren't as privileged as the landed chavtry.
Totally out of order! I hope that you never fall on hard times!

I know what I am talking about.........it's just that nobody else does!0 -
Hi B_M
Just read this thread right through & have seen your previous posts. Well done for your resilience & please, please don`t let such `bitter & twisted` individuals such as bf109 get to you.
Everyone who has the courage to post their personal thoughts here is dealing with their own issues....(sounds like bf has his/her own issues to deal with!! lets hope they are lucky enough not to fall on hard times eh!).
We come on here initially for our own support but also then help others get through tough times from the experience we gain along the way.
I just wanted to offer my support & fingers crossed that one of the viewings is successful.
Cheers hun, Angiex0
