I won't ever buy a blouse again now that I've retired. One of the perks of retirement is wearing what's comfortable but smartening up when you become a "lady who lunches". My grandmother wore an apron on top of older clothes all morning but changed into an afternoon dress after lunch. She refused to wear slippers till she was very old as she felt they lowered her standards. Wonder what she'd make of t-shirts and jogging bottoms?

All dolled up to the nines, not a hair out of place, what looks like designer gear, huh!, then when they all turn up for coffee in a thriving cafe/shop/post office in a village of less than three dozen houses, not a smell of pig-shot ........................of here I go again,rambling on. I bet there isn't such a place as Emmerdale, I bet it's all make-believe.

I remember when the folk on Emmerdale wore wellies and thick jumpers.
