yes it is getting really bad i live in new eltham and its also dire their.you look in the estate agents and their twiddling their thumbs.i agree they overprice houses round our area a 3 bed semi round the corner from me is up for 450000 such a crazy price no wonder its been on the market for over a year.

Yes, I'm local to New Eltham and the situation there looks bad. No closures, but there seems to be a lot of staff turnover and reduced opening hours.

Chattertons valued a semi in Thaxted Road for £430 last year, and it's now on with TgBaynes at £360, still unsold after many months.

Cockburns in the parade on Green Lanes towards the ponds in Chislehurst has shutdown too.

    .
This is the methodology of how Estate Agents arrive at the asking price of a property -

Think of a ridiculously high figure. Double it. And then add a bit more on.

    Hope this helps.

cockburns in belmont parade shut down about 3 years ago but i can see the one in new eltham doing just that as they dont have a good reputation.

Platinum Estate Agency Have Gone In My Village In Cheshire Five To Go...

ALL ARE CLOSED ON A SUNDAY..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

I'm so sorry to hear that Jorgan. What a bummer to find out just before Christmas.

I hope you can find an alternative place of employment quickly...

I'm also very sorry to hear this. Will you be redeployed to another office? Our agents closed last June, but most of the staff went to other offices.

No redeployment, the other office is fully staffed.
