I use carrot, apple and banana too. High value treats are tiny cubes of cheese or baked liver. To make liver cubes I boil up liver, then cut into small pieces and bake it on a low heat until it is completely dry. It stinks to high heaven when it's cooking, but it freezes really well, so I make a huge batch each time, so I don't have to put up with the smell often.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

    My dogs like carrots.

I often use frolics. If you squeeze them they split into four bits. My two will do virtually anything for a tiny bit! They only get a small amount a day but they are useful to keep in my pocket to use as bribery on walks.

I used to feed them Bakers until kennels told me about the ingrediants and why my dog was always so enthusiastic about everything! Now on Arden Grange.

If you have a Costco membership then try kirklands (their own brand) - no colours, but mine is thriving on it! :)
mjburton we used to use frolics like that with my mums old dog... and the one before it... I just never thought to look for them in England! *slaps forehead* will have to pick some up next time I'm shopping :)
