I have had some absolutely amazing private messages, for which I can only say a heartfelt thank you. You guys are absolutely amazing, and I wouldn't be half as ready to face tomorrow as I am if it wasn't for all of you.
I have :

Hi Merry Very very best of luck. All the queries about tax are a bit confusing? Basically what happened to me (Truro court) was that I went into a small waiting room (not a court room) handed my forms in to an admin clerk, signed to say it was all true and went home again, after being told OR would ring me...he did the next day. Was told not to respond to letters or contact creditors as the OR would do this...he did and all accounts were frozen...had to surrender all my cards, cheque books etc in the post to OR. I did owe loads of money to tax man due to overpaymnt of child tax credit I had been struggling to pay back but after BR was declared they weren't interested in pursuing my overpayment. Since BR have had no phonecalls or letters from anyone, apart from a letter from Barclays (aka !!!!!!!leys) to let me know that they have sold my debt on to a company, but nothing has come of that either- can't get blood out of a stone after all, and they realise this. Only problem I have had is geting a bank account to accept direct payments- have had to open a postoffice basic account which just lets me put money in and take it out (no overdraft, loans, special features nothing). Have now just started the process of being discharged and as I still don't have much money can't pay anything back without being seriously in the !!!!, so I will be discharged without having to pay anything towards my original debts. I don't feel too bad about this as they were all debts to credit card companies and banks and not individuals anyway so the only real damamge to any humans in all this process has been to myself and my kids. Prepare to enter the twilight zone...it is quite unnerving when you go from frenetic build up to your day in court to eeiry silence and calm....its great!!!! Very, very, very, best wishes for tomorrow- Eselt0

Good luck Merry
I didn't get a pannicky call (well yet anyway) .. so presume you're all sorted for court.
Hopefully you won't have to wait as long as I did down there but there's a few ok places for cheap food near the court if it drags on too long
All the best :hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
I hope all is going well for Merry as well, she was the first thing I thought of this morning. Lets hope she does not have to wait too long. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0

All the very best for today, Merry. I hope you find the whole court thing as stress free as possible and you have a similar experience to the vast majority of people who post here i.e that court staff are pleasant, helpful and respectful and you have some sense of relief when it's all over.:hello: :jEternal Optimist:j:hello:BR 22.09.08:staradmin BSC Member 201:staradmin0
