I will be thinking about you Merry, it was you and Summer and Angels posts that I read here that made me take the plunge and post so I thank you for that, as on here I feel I can ask questions and no one (kreditkruch the exception) will laugh at me, or think what a dim wit, or moron.
Tomorrow I am sure you will want one huge drink, or large cappinchino to celebrate. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -

Something doesnt make sense here, i have to admitt i didnt have to worry about it and havnt read that closely but i was under the impresion the nt tax code was from BR date till end of tax year which i just assumed was for the reason above

The way i have always seen it is the OR takes the tax you would have paid from the dat of your BR to the end of the tax year, now they may base that on say the previous X months but if your earnings are less you should be able to ask for it to be reassesed on your actuall earnings.
An NT code should NOT leave you out of pocket in any way at all
At least thats how i see itThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

I saw that link and that is what the above reply was based on.
An NT code IPA is just to collect the tax you WOULD have paid not MIGHT so if they do base it on previos higher wages, which is fair enough, they have to guesstimate it somehow if your not on a fixed income, but if it leaves you out of pocket then raise a stink about it
Having said that dont ask me how you actually work what tax you would have paid out, havnt a clue on that one
