ILFS. I always cancel my subscription as soon as the first payment has gone out of my account. It's easy enough to do if you bank online
. Also as a precaution I drop them an email.

lyniced - just wondering something. I never received my Body Butters or any other alternative - I did call them a while ago and was told they were all out of stock.
I cancelled my subscription last week as I don't wish to continue and only signed up for the free gift. Do you think I should persue them even tho I have already cancelled?
Thanks!0 -

lyniced wrote:After waiting nearly two months, I decided I was going to ring the people at Now magazine again. The girl I spoke to said (suprize, suprize) they had run out of Body Butters, but reeled off a list of alternatives - there were loads (including Imperial Leather set, Avon set and Original source kit) and I went for the original source kit. They are going to send it out asap and they were very sorry for the problems caused. Anyway, I won't hold my breath. I'll keep you posted, but I still stand by my theory.
After e-mailing them again, Ive had this reply:
"we can confirm that the further stock has just been recevied and our gift company are in the process of despaching it to waiting customers and you shall receive your gift shortly". I wont hold my breath either, but I will keep on hassling them!!0 -

Its what I did, after contacting them the first time I cancelled my sub, and they are saying that the body butters are on their way.
btw I pressed your thanks button by mistake, was supposed to be the quote one!!!0 -
I've just had 3 issues for a £1 for some computer mags )PC Pro, Computer Shopper, Computer Buyer, -) and cancelled my DD as soon as I got the third issue - several weeks ago - but have just received the latest 4th issue of Computer Shopper in the post! When I log in to subs info it says subscription for PC Pro is still active and they "have taken" the payment for the next 6 issues "on Monday 18th July " I know that doesn't make sense as that date is tomorrow - but I didn't want it and cancelled the DD via online banking though didn't inform the Subs dept.

I would check your bank online - sometimes payments do go out before you cancel as they are sometimes debitted a couple of days in advance.
If it has, then phone the subs department and cancel and ask them to refund money.0 -

I already checked online. It was cancelled weeks ago and there haven't been be any new charges .
I guess I'll have to phone them tomorrow to see what they're playing at.

Keep quiet about it, just check your bank and make sure no money goes. If they want to send you the mag free due to an "administrative glitch" then thats good, just make sure the DD is goneWycombe Till I Die0
