Patr100 wrote:I've just had 3 issues for a £1 for some computer mags )PC Pro, Computer Shopper, Computer Buyer, -) and cancelled my DD as soon as I got the third issue - several weeks ago - but have just received the latest 4th issue of Computer Shopper in the post! When I log in to subs info it says subscription for PC Pro is still active and they "have taken" the payment for the next 6 issues "on Monday 18th July " I know that doesn't make sense as that date is tomorrow - but I didn't want it and cancelled the DD via online banking though didn't inform the Subs dept.

I emailed them. Pcpro subs say they will refund me - though I haven't paid anything other than a quid and the other two replied to say that the offer was for FOUR issues for a Pound so they say that is why I got the extra ones - Er......no it wasn't originally for four issues - but i won't pursue the matter.

I've just checked my online banking, and they've set up an old DD (says last payment was in January!). I did have a Zest sub in January, which I cancelled months ago, so why on earth have they resurrected it?They better not think they are going to charge me more than £3
Has anyone else had this happen? I knew I should've used hubby's details and not mine again . What should I do? Don't particularly want to phone them and draw attention to myself and my second subscription to the same magazine within a space of a few months...
So lyniced, is this your first Zest sub? If not, make sure you check your bank!0 -
Received mine today.
Better than the original gift for me and smells lovely!
So pleased Im going to e-mail them to thank them!0 -

I cancelled my direct debit with the bank on Monday and also sent a polite letter to IPC media letting them know I was cancelling and also that I had not received the free gift.
Received a nice email yesterday saying sorry to loose me and no charge will be made etc. etc. and today I received my Body Shop freebies consisting of a lovely cranberry body lotion, shower gel and soap gift set, body butter, re-texturising peel off face mask, and line minimiser.
Not bad for nowt! The trouble is, now I can't decide whether to keep it for myself or give it to someone as a christmas pressie....Sexkitten
Good things come to those who wait......... but the best will be taken by those who got there first

Looks tempting - but it's not clear whether you can cancel after the first three issues for a pound and avoid paying for the rest.
