Well, it's not the right thread, but I'll tell someone that I have spent the last 5 hours researching and writing up a perfect antiquarian booky-wooky listing for ebay .... and it's just disappeared into the ether.
Wasted.
Night all.

Bah  How frustrating for you Ampersand.
Of course I will ensure Pania gets all your messages - she knows you are all thinking of her.
Right, you will be pleased to know that my moment of foolishness passed quickly last night and no housework was done - phew, close shave there!
Today is car boot day - I hate them. I know I have clutter to shift and I know I am in need of the cash, but I still hate the whole process....oh well, the sun is shining so I don't have the rain excuse...........later this morning I will be off with a smile on my face!
Hope you all have a good day xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Hope it goes well - at least the sun is shining!!!
4 hours sleep last night - wedding was a busy one and took till nearly 2 to clear up from. Still never mind !!!!! Its all extra in the pot.0 -
Glad to hear the desire to do housework passed without serious incident!
Hope the weather stays fine for you and that lots of willing buyers head for your stall. I'm with you on the experience - think I enjoyed the first 10 minutes of the first one i did before the novelty wore off but just think of shifting all that stuff with no postage!
Great letter A. . I sometimes feel like sending something like that - but would never have the nerve!
But so frustrating about the listing.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -

As you say, Surfbabe - all money in the pot :j I hope you can catch up a bit today on the old zzzz's at some point!
Mizmir, it is the first 10 mins I hate - everyone hassling you as soon as you open your boot! I mean, at least give me chance to get it all set up! Once it is all settled down, I don't suppose I dislike it so much. I have DD and DS coming with me to "help".........
We have decided (me and the kids, that is) that we will be using car boot money to save up for a midweek break at Centerparcs..........we all want a "family" holiday rather than a disjointed ski trip, but can't afford it.
So, I suggested that if EVERYONE helps by selling their old stuff, and helping out on the day, that we could pool the resultant cash, and save it up for a break away. This was met with positive noises, so that is what we are going to do.
Much as I would love to pay any extra off the credit card, this will all be going in the big Marmite jar we have (currently empty) and we will see if it can motivate us into doing more clutter clearing and car boots through the summer. We need to save a minimum of £500.........if we can get that from junk etc it will be a worthwhile exercise all round!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good luck with the boot sale, mine isn't open it is at the end of the month............got up early and everything. I thought about going to a different one, but it is too far away.

Have you tried the free pontins hoildays yet Hypno?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks redsquirrel - it is hard when there are so many options for extra money.
We "need" to clear our debts asap
We "need" new windows before ours fall out
We "need" car tax at the end of the month
We "need" to get the kittens jabs done
We "need" a break
and so the list goes on - perhaps the biggest "need" is a lottery win......in which case I "need" to buy a ticket occasionally :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
