Not seen the pontins thing - point me in the right direction.

I am going to come across as a big snob now - pontins/butlins/haven have been on my "shudder" list for ever.......Center parcs is my "thang" :o

I did once, however, go on a £9.50 sun holiday - except I could not face the thought of buying the Sun, so paid full price for the same holiday park :rotfl:

    How bad is that :o:o:o:o:o

But, needs must, and if Pontins is free.......it deserves a look!

haven are a bit better, quiter parks.
I always thought like you, and we won one when th kids were younger. They had a great time, and continued to do so until teenagers, and we went in villas, hotels etc. The fav of the two youngest are camping weekends...go figure eh!

Will have to look at cheaper holidays - I have clubcard vouchers too that perhaps I could utilise somewhere along the line (unfortunately Centerparcs don't do clubcard deals).

ISOM, I will speak to P shortly so will make sure she knows you are thinking of her (sure she does!)

Right, off to get dressed, then have one more coffee then load the car!

Wow, hypno ---- its been said before, but if you could bottle that energy, it would be worth a million dollars.... have a good day, I'll be thinking of you. My cold is still here, but I don't think I'm going to cancel tomorrow's work - it feels like its working its way through me really quickly, so should be okay by tomorrow evening.

    Have a good one.

british holidays do a very good alternative to centre parks. beautiful caravans, lodges etc, in very quiet peaceful locations. some will let you camp there, and when i say it is a wonderful place..it is. One of the best caravan hols i have ever been on, so quiet you could here a pin drop. The loudest noise was a woodpecker, and someone starting up a barbie.

Well, car boot done - not fantastic, but I made £44.65 profit after buying some fruit, 2 burgers for the kids for lunch because they forgot their sandwiches, and the pitch fee.......

So, DD is up for another one next weekend - hoping to make a similar amount and get rid of a bit more stuff - I have a LOAD more stuff to get rid of :o

Well done Hypno - you'll soon be able to go on holiday - with an incentive like that for DD & DS you'll have loads of help - its a good way of de cluttering as well, although I have a rule that if it hasn;t sold after two attempts then charity shop or recycle or bin and if you haven;t used something for a year then you obviously don't need it !!!!!
