Good Evening everyone - thank you for you thoughts today - have been and told my mum - she was shocked as we all are especially as we don;t know why at the moment. Time will tell I suppose.

Had a lovely day at the Jamboree - its right on the sea wall at Walton on the Naze - glorious sunshine but a nice breeze. Took DD BF with me and DH managed to get back from work at about 1.30pm so saw him as well. I swear DS has grown a bit more which as he is 6ft 5 is a tad worrying!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Took Mum out to dinner afterwards (and after telling her the sad news) and ended up only paying for one meal as mine was not very good so they didn;t charge me. Had strawberries and a very expensive ice cream that my sister had left in mums freezer as she couldn;t take it back to USA sitting in mums garden this evening and got home about 20mins ago.

Hope you all had good days and thanks for your support as well -(sorry to have hijacked your thread this morning Hypno! hope you get a full nights sleep tonight!)

I have just switched my gas and electric to a capped rate......like a sensible DFW - it is up by about 10% from what I have been paying per unit, but as others have said, it is quite possible that they will be going up by more than 10% before the end of 2009 so although a risk it will cost me more, it is a risk worth taking.

Also did a mystery shop thing (quickest simplest thing ever!) for £1.50......not much but it will be MY £1.50!!!

Going to bed now.......sleep tight x

morning taxi - rushing about this morning as I want to get into work early again so need to get the early bus.......

Not yet checked the bank but OH pay should have gone in today so hopefully I can do some positive number crunching for a change!

• be positive about life
• beans on toast for dinner - trying to make a point to the kids that they won't starve
