"It (well, housework in general) is where I am at my most inadequate, and it just doesn't seem to happen how I want it to.

Almost at the bottom of one basket of ironing - and the dining table is almost useable........."

Awww, Hypno... we all have something, this is yours.... don't worry. Look at the progress in that last bit - thats a *lot* to happen in one day, good for you, seriously.

I love KM's post too - those jobs sound just right, KM, v funny about the 4th child!

Mine is horrible. But people on here were really helpful when I had my mum (and others) to stay - several pointed out that its *me* they're coming to see, not the state of the carpets (not quite true in my mother's case, as it turned out, but then mothers *are* exceptions).

Hypno, hope its not going too badly - enjoy the use of your dining table.

    So..today's list reads like this:
    • [strike]Clear dining room[/strike] Done :T
    • [strike]Sort out charity bags/ebay/freecycle in the process[/strike] A couple of things are on ebay - three boxes are ready for car booting.
    • [strike]Stir fry quorn sweet & sour for dinner[/strike] And a portion in the freezer for another day
    • [strike]Everyone to sit around the dining table[/strike] :rotfl:Yes Yes Yes Yes YES!!!!!
    • [strike]Go to DD's presentation - she gets her Baden Powell Award at guides today.[/strike]
    • [strike]Play free b!ngo[/strike] Won £5 - better than nowt!
    • [STRIKE]Check online banking against ever depressing "bills still to pay" list.[/STRIKE] DONE - no change from yesterday's shortfall...will have to be happy with that!
    • [strike]Meal plan for the next week, based on recent big "shop"[/strike] DONE
    • [strike]Check periodically for new mystery shops[/strike]No new ones in my area today
    • Print off paperwork for tomorrow's mystery shops
    I think that's about enough!!

I am still working my way through the ironing, but I have done a good half of it, so do not feel too bad in perhaps putting the iron away for today and finishing it off tomorrow.

One of the ebay items has a bid on already - only 99p but very hopeful to make a reasonable amount - I will be giving myself another £50 target by the end of next week......

Evening Hypno sounds like you have had a productive day.

I am the same with ironing I hate it with a passion and I never understand people who say they hardly need to iron as I seem to need to iron everything lol.

Good luck with that challenge for the summer hols, benben - I am very sure you will exceed your target for the 6 weeks.

I am quite pleased with what I have got done today - still a long way to go, but at least it is better than it was this time yesterday!!

I have now sunk into the sofa though......and won't be leaving for a little while :D

BOGOF dark choccie digestives! omigod... of *course* there's only one pack left - I'd like to say something witty about them falling from heaven, but it will have to be the trite version, I'm afraid - they fell from heaven!

Hypno, what you've done sounds brill - another full list! Tho I don't know where your DD gets time to go to Guides, she definitely has your energy levels!

I too have had a successful list day - so much so, I've done a bit more. I think my listmaking skills have gone the other way... feels good tho!

    Have a good remainder-evening.

Hi KC, this was the last session of Guides for DD - so Thursday evenings will now be available for something else -fab news, because it doesn't half interfere with buying free b!ngo tickets when I have to run her about
