Yes I know it is past 8.30 and I should be in the dining room, but I had to buy free b!ngo tickets :rotfl: so thought I would just pop on and say hi to P and Taxi......

OOh, the free bingo's on at this time of the morning - I'm off too! Am being v lazy, came across a yahoo article about internet dating and googling exes, am busy googling for all I'm worth.... nothing so far, apart from one v distressed ex who inherited loads and loads, but I knew that already... I wonder what I'm looking for... possibly someone who had a way with clearing dining tables that I never knew about

Coffee break I have now at least managed to clear a path to the dining table (yes, my dining room really IS that bad!), with one load of recycling and shredding sorted.....so a definite improvement!! My next target, after coffee of course, is to get a patch of the table clear so that I can actually sort the paperwork into workable "piles".....

My two baskets of ironing (plus whatever has spilled over onto the floor) are currently residing in that room too, so I must do the ironing as well in order to complete the challenge today.....:eek:

OH is in the process of taking an old bed to the dump - the car looks like something out of a comedy with a double divan base strapped to the top!!!

And I have found several bits to ebay, so hopefully will get OH onto that this afternoon.

Good grief... what I don't get is, you are *so* organised on here. I understand not being good at housework, all too well.... but with paperwork that, um, complicated, how can you cope with what you achieve on here? My admiration grows, if anything! I'm answering my own question, actually - I've renewed the hosting for my work website, which nearly all my work comes through, with only 5 days to spare, before we lost it altogether. Hmmm. I see. Its normal! Have you taken a piccie of the travelling bed???

Hypno I feel for you with the housework issue as I am totally the same, I can't seem to manage like other people seem to!! However, as for the ironing piles in your dining room, I have found a solution to this which helps keep the chaos down in my house. I threw away the ironing baskets and now once the clothes are dry I sort into each persons pile and give it to each of them to fold and put away themselves, so all out of site and we iron as we wear. Simple! That works for me because I KNOW I will never be a regular pile of clothes ironer but I also hate having the clothes 'hanging around' increasing the amount of mess. Don't know if that would work for you?

Lunch break.....and there is a little more space in the dining room.....still very much work in progress though. But we WILL eat in there tonight - I am determined to achieve that much!!

Re the ironing - I have tried getting rid of the baskets, but all that happens is that it piles up on a chair...or two....and spills off there instead. I really do need "housekeeper"....perhaps when I am debt free :rolleyes: My plans for a cleaner to help out have been scuppered because unless OH gets a really good job, with the cost of everything increasing all the time, we are still only able to break even at the very best.....simply no room in the budget for any help......bah!!

So, no choice but to get on top of things.......I am getting there very very very slowly, but there is an awful lot to do, and I do tend to make heavy weather of the housework, so am not making it any easier for myself, I am sure!!

I completely sympathise with you as I'm exactly the same..it gets so bad that I don't know where to start..lol..and then seem to do loads and then it never ends...lol
