Morning all.....P, I know what you mean about the mystery shops - not enough hours in the day!

Our student arrives this evening, so no time for much list making, as I will need to settle her in, and check that she knows where she is going to school tomorrow, where the buses go from etc. And no time for debt busting as such, although getting the student will help with the money side of things when the cheque arrives in a couple of weeks.

    Have a good day everyone!

Bah - just checked online banking and I have a £30 bank charge - I know I have been close to the wire recently but I thought I was just the right side of things. No way of getting it re-credited either because of my court case which is on hold with them for bank charges..... So, my banking shortfall has increased again......I hope the student cheque doesn't take too long to arrive!!

In good news, and thanks to benben for the tip off - my Legal & general isa money has arrived in quidco - £110 which will be paid out at the end of July.......very useful for August :j

Bah indeed - sometimes the little things really catch us hard - I got tripped up to the tune of £15 yesterday myself, from carelessness (not watching the expiry date on a free trial DVD thing). Its really disappointing, isn't it....

And the money for the student *is* debtbusting, of course. Have to keep looking on the bright side.

    Take care.

Just a quick hello to all, afraid I have not been doing anything MSE for a few days or so now. Even sent DS out to get a kebab last night, as I was in a mood with the twins. I had expected to come home to a spaghetti bolognaise made by them, but instead they had gone out to a pub up the cowley road with a mate, and didnt get home until about 7.30! Even though I had told them on the mobile to come home. Even DS had told them to get home as the place was in a mess!!.
At the moment my weekend away cant come quick enough. I will just have to deal with the fall out afterwards.
Hopeing that I wont have to spend too much while we are away, as I already have 150euros gathered over the months before I moved here.
Hope life is less hectic for you soon.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Hi Guys, well the student was collected last night - she seems very nice so I am hoping the next three weeks are reasonably easy.....they have a very packed programme of activities arranged so not too much for us to arrange ourselves.

Today I have taken a day off work to do my dining room with the intention of eating our evening meal tonight at the table.

I don't know at this point in time whether this is a  task or a :rotfl: task :o .....

    So..today's list reads like this:
    • Clear dining room Work in progress
    • Sort out charity bags/ebay/freecycle in the process There is now a pile of stuff ready to be listed/given away/put in car boot box etc
    • Stir fry quorn sweet & sour for dinner
    • Everyone to sit around the dining table :rotfl:Still hopeful
    • Go to DD's presentation - she gets her Baden Powell Award at guides today.
    • Play free b!ngo Not won anything yet
    • Check online banking against ever depressing "bills still to pay" list.
    • [STRIKE]Meal plan for the next week, based on recent big "shop"[/STRIKE] DONE
    • Check periodically for new mystery shops
    • Print off paperwork for tomorrow's mystery shops
    I think that's about enough!!
