Hi taxi! (talking to you on 3 different diaries now!) Gardening leave is a phrase used when someone either resigns or is sacked and they are not allowed either to go into work or to work for anyone else - so they are effectively forced to stay at home gardening! I think that's what it means anyway.

Did you get the loan though Hypno?..well done on the re-jig HYpno..What is gardening leave, please?

Yes, I got a loan, as did OH - credited to the bank this week and to be repaid next week!

Gardening leave is basically "we will pay you but don't bother coming back to work your notice".........nice to get it because it gives time to find another job.

That's goood then(I guess) especially if he still gets paid.I'm sure he'll find one quite quick. That's good about the loans as well.

good morning.....I get more tired as the week goes on - I must try and work out why otherwise that will not do me any good!

Plans for today include working (yes, I even surprise myself), free b!ngo, a mystery shop, and making a luxury dinner of jacket spuds and cheese for Pania this evening!

Have a good one, everyone xx

Oh hypno... sorry to hear you're so tired.... as to wondering why, well, I think I know. You do quite a lot, you know, and you have a lot on your shoulders. I hope you can look forward to that luxury dinner and relax a bit with OH and Pania both - a bit of a laugh will hopefully do you good. Take care.

Hi KC, yes I know I do a lot - but I still don't do any housework, so that must mean that I should be doing more.......I have come to the conclusion that only a bulldozer and a skip will sort my house out - it is quite tempting just to chuck EVERYTHING away, and start again - anything that is important can be saved in the process, or replaced when it becomes apparent that we *should* have saved it........

Oh for a simple life *sigh*

(right, self indulgent moan over, with......now to get on with "real life")
