Hi rtandon!! Yes, first job must be to have sufficient coffee to wake up!! I am about to go and make my next cup. I have shoved a load of washing in the machine, and might even get the dishwasher on while I am waiting for the kettle to boil.....need to be careful though, I don't want to overdo it!!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Good luck with the number crunching and try not to do too much today....I've got my washing on as well(what's wrong with us..lol,)....Time for another brew here also.0

well, if I don't get stuff done today, it wont get done for another week because I have to take the children racing tomorrow. So, I am hoping to get quite a lot done one way or another, but know that I also have far more housework to do than any one person could do in one day (or even one weekend or one week!) so I have to be realistic!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning - Have done one load of washing but have had to hang it up in utility room as its raining. Fininshed DD birthday cake - its more a cartoon 3D impression of Vdub Camper Van !!!! Your weekend sounds a bit like mine Hypno. DH is in Wales clearing DS room at Uni goodness where all the stuff is going to go when it gets here. He has filled an MPV with boxes and DS has gone off to OTC camp!!!!
Anyhow - off to work now - happy days !
Good for your OH standing by his prinicples and I hope he finds another job soon.0 -
Blimey, Hypno - sorry to hear about the problems at OH's work - but, I'm with those who are posting that principles are important. I really admire you both for not letting your principles go - self respect is crucial, and if we let that go, then we're often in more trouble. I can see that you've got a busy day lined up, and I'm trying to be busy too today (don't have *external* things like kids to see to, or even a mystery shop) but I have a list a mile long, that will have to do! Hope the numbers crunch well for you.

Hi Surfbabe - yes I think I will have to use the tumble drier today, because I have loads of washing to get done and the weather is not on my side!! I have too much just to hang on the airer, because I have not done any washing all week so need to catch up
I have amended my signature to show my new "overpay £1000 a month" challenge numbers - sort of an amalgamation of the "make £10 a day" challenge and my own mad cap idea that despite the uncertainties I need to carry on with the debtbusting as normal!
I think I am being driven at the moment by the fact that there are 2 houses for sale in my perfect, most ideal, have dreamed of living there since I was a little girl, location......both would be affordable if we didn't have the debt, and I am gutted that I cannot even go and consider them........
Plus, while OH is "off" we are going to have a push to clear the clutter.......we both fancy a little bit more "minimal" than we are currently living in! That way we might enjoy living where we do a little more while we are waiting for the dream house to happen.

That's my girl ...that's why we all love you...only you can find positives out of negatives..ie decluttering...you will have that dream house at exactly the right price when the time is right ..I have every faith in you xx0

well if anyone can do this i am sure you can. I hope OH will find another job soon, and will probably be better and will enable you to pay off quicker.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Thanks you two. I know that with the help from this site we WILL get there......wherever "there" may be!!
Right, need to get moving otherwise my clients will not get seen, and that will be no good for the whole process......
So, off for a shower.....via the kettle.....back in a while!

Morning Hypno good on you for keeping positive. Hopefully hubbys new job is just round the corner.
I am in a similar situation with houses. We want to move but with the debt and the credit crunch it just doesn't seem possible. Keeping looking on Rightmove and trying to use that as a motivation to keep debt busting as what we pay out on loans a month would be more than the extra we need on our mortgage. If that makes sense :cool:Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712
