Just been with DD to her interview for her sports diploma at college - she was offered a place, despite "forgetting" about the interview and coming straight home from school instead  Cue one phone call from the school and me frantically driving round the village looking for her in the masses of high school kids walking home!

But, they seem so keen to have her, that they overlooked the issue of forgetting to turn up :rotfl: .............what it must be like to be in demand!

Woot for DD getting in (after a quick talking to about forgetting the interview!)

When does she start there and is it easy to get to?

Well, I did have a few words to say on the matter

It is only one day a week, and the school provide the transport to and from college, so that is good.

It seems that they think she is some top notch international skier, so they want her on their course!!! She will start in September for 2 years, and do her GCSEs at school as normal, just having to make up any lessons she misses, in her own time.

She has been made aware of the amount of work involved, but I am sure she will manage - she is pretty good at doing homework without being asked etc.

    Here's a note from my cat.......but do I win :p

Like you Hypno my debt has slightly increased. But unlike you, I've hidden, lurked, not owned up and avoided up-dating my signature :o

But, I'll sort that out this evening. :wave:Hello everybody.

Off to see Popeye tomorrow. So I'm happy, though I've been unwell these last 10 days and am dreading a 10-hour flight.
:coffee: It wouldn't be Hypno's place without a coffee (water for me though, until I feel better)

  • What a brilliant opportunity. There never seems to be enough of them around in this country, so it is really nice to hear when something like this happens.
