Agreed. Jimm24, I would recommend National Debtline as first point of call: 0808 808 4000

    So would I.

If they can't help/deal with it, then it might also be worth contacting herbi21. I know for a fact that her advice is expert, and that in cases like this she normally helps for free.

The idle speculation here is not helping them.

I don't think that it is 'idle speculation' fermi. This thread has, certainly, opened my eyes to the law relating to transferring county court judgements up to high court judgements, and the implications, thereof.

I, for one, have learnt a lot from the posts, including your own very informative posting, and will certainly file that information for future use.

It would be great if jimm comes back and clarifies his particular situation.

Sorry Rog. I didn't mean "idle" as in "not useful" in general.

But instead that it is detracting from the fundamental point, that is jimm24 needs expert advice ASAP.

We can argue all the other issues to our heart's content once we know that jimm24 is getting the advice they need. :)

I agree, totally, with you, on this point, fermi - in fact the advice for jimm to get professional advice has been consistent throughout the whole thread.

It has. But with respect to jimm24, they still seem to me to be burying their head in the sand a bit with regards to the situation and not contacting the people we have suggested. Maybe even prefering to believe that it might a DCA "trying it on".

Apologies to jimm24 if that is not the case, but it is the sort of thing we see time after time here.

I will be very happy if the threat turns out to be a false one, but it needs to be checked.
