Of course I could be wrong, but if they are working as bailiffs, then they must give you written notification of any impended visit. This 'notification' should include details of creditor, court hearing and date.

I'm only working off the NDL info Rog, but it says:
    Why use the high court?
    • Enforcement officers are High Court bailiffs and they can act more quickly than county court bailiffs - they do not need to send a warning letter first.
    • For unregulated debts over £5,000 - if a creditor obtains a High Court judgement then this could result in interest being added on to the debt at the statutory rate which is currently 8% a year.

Of course, fermi. However, my 'concern' is that this could be someone working as a 'dca', as the OP's opening post asks, yet using the supposed fact that they are also registered 'Enforcement Officers' to put the frighteners on the OP.
It often happens that 'Bailiffs' are also 'Debt Collectors' and have been known to use the title of 'bailiff' when acting in the capacity of 'debt collector' to imply that they have certain rights.
As I said, I am not, necessarily, implying that this is the case, here, but since the OP states that he is unaware of any CCJ, then it set the alarm bells ringing.
We really need a bit more information.

Eureka (possibly). network credit - http://www.networkcreditservices.com are, indeed, a debt collection agency, based in Motherwell. They operate on a 'no win - no fee' basis.
Are they chasing you for the same 'debt', jimm?
The first thing that you should do to networkcredit is to 'request a true copy of the original signed cca' in order to establish exactly what the 'debt' is for.
My guess is that they will not be able to provide it.

I agree with your concerns Rog because I am always naturally suspicious whether any alleged bailiff is actually one.

That was one of the reasons why I am suggesting talking in the first instance to National Debtline or CCCS. Having a phone chat with a professional advisor should allow you to work out how real and serious the threat is an awful lot quicker than we could possibly hope to here. Plus they would be able to suggest the next step in getting it sorted more easily as well.

EDIT: Bear in mind that not all debts are covered by the CCA, so requesting one might be of only limited or no use.

Thanks, fermi. It is, indeed, my suspicion that this is a 'dca', trying to make out that he is working under the authority of an 'enforcement officer', and this would appear to be borne out by the fact that another dca (creditservicenetwork) are chasing the OP, possibly for the same 'alleged debt'.

I agree Rog. That is a possibility to bear in mind. But as your use of the phrase 'suspicion' suggests, this is by no means certain.

Have you looked at the website I suggested - http://www.enforcement.uk.com/

    Yes I have.

It is interesting to see that organisation exists, but it does not suggest in any way that the people who have contacted jimm24 are not genuine High Court Enforcement Officers.

In fact the NDL factsheet state that most High Court Enforcement Officers are private bailiffs, and that tallies perfectly with the stated genuine High Court enforcement services offered by that company.
The creditor will send a stamped copy of the writ to the High Court enforcement officer of their choice (generally a private bailiff).
Anyway, the OP needs some professional advice to work out whether the threat is real.
