    I suspect that Joe Public will be up in arms when these so called `green` taxes kick in. I wonder if there will be another Government U turn when the the proverbial starts hitting the fan.

  • So the government wants people to stop driving cars that have already done most of their depreciation.

    They'd rather 'save the environment' by scrapping these perfectly good cars and forcing people to buy brand new cars.

    And guess what, VED doesn't consider annual mileage, most old cars with big engines won't be doing much more than 10,000 a year, compared to smaller engined new cars doing 10-30,000 a year.

    Classic. What a bunch of numpties.
