What's the easiest (cheapest!!) way to get a Smartphone?

Hello everyone,

Like many people at the moment, I am trying to sort out a means of getting Sat Nav, and I would like to investigate the possible use of a smartphone, Bluetooth GPS Receiver and TomTom Mobile software. This way I'll have more than the one gadget to play with!!

Having read through a number of threads recently, it would seem that the cheapest way of getting a smartphone would be to sign-up on one of these redemption type contracts, but does anyone know of a better way?

Cheers,
PeteM

    Not really.

The best way is via contracts as the phone is usually free or a low price

They give it away or for a low price as they know they have you paying atleast £12 a month for the next year, and if you go over those calls they have that £ from you also.

But to tempt more customers and stop you from chosing a different network over themselves they now offer cashbacks.

These are good deals aslong as you remember when to send your bills back to claim your cashback, and some people have been having problems actually getting the cashback.

If you see this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=88454 there is a Nokia 6630 which is a smart phone and you get a free mini moto bike of Quad, ideal for a christmas present or to sell.

There are lots of deals around, when you know what phone you want, it is then a case of finding it the cheapest or with the best free gifts, also bear in mind the coverage of the network in your area.

Contract is the best option for cheap deals .
