DH is putting a floor in the attic today. I had a dream last night that there were wasps up there and they swarmed and went for him  . I have told him that if it happens he should get in the shower. He now thinks i'm mad :rotfl: xx
Not quite so funny if it happens. I was in Bath some years ago and DH, at home in North Som, called to say he'd been cutting the front hedge and disturbed a wasps nests (we lived in a terraced house at the time). He had to run past the neighbours' house, under the bridge flat, in the back garden (he didn't want to go in the front door in case they followed him). Anyway, he dived into the greenhouse and danced around sprinkling himself with the watering can! Even he can laugh about that now. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:When he called me, he was feeling very shaky as he'd been stung numerous times, so I told him to take two of my antihistamines immediately and if he felt any worse to call the GP. Fotnatley, he was OK, but he's very wary of wasps now.
Come to think of it, there was also the time when I was in Bath (extraordinarily enough, but my mother lived there at the time) and cut through the cable for the hedge trimmer and ended up in a heap on the garden bath. That'll teach him to use the RCB like I told him to! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And there was the rather scarier time when he called me just before I left Bath and by the time I got home (40 minutes) our GP was opening the door to me! In between, he had spoken to my sister who called, then called the out of hours who sent the doc who called the ambulance and he was "blues & twos" all the way to BRI. Three lumbar punctures and three days later they sent him home. We still aren't sure what it was, but they think it mat have been viral meningitis.
Really, he's not safe to be out on his own.
You know "When I nod my head, you hit it!" That was him, fitting tank tracks with a young trooper who hit him on the back of the head with a 40lb sledge hammer.
Or the time they brought him home on a stretcher and helped me put our mattress on the floor because he's hurt his back falling off the top of a tank.
Or the time he came home with a broken nose (again) because the gun barrel had been traversed and he didn't notice.
Or the time he called to say he was in Southmead hospital because he'd fallen 13' off the top of a car transporter (mind you, the compensation paid for our new kitchen in our old house)
OK. I'll stop now, and finishing reading the posts.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

Nicki, my very best wishes honey, don't be too long because we'll all miss you xx
soappie I am pleased to not be related to you as I dislike having pins put in memy son did try and label one of where we lived before, I didn't think a 9 year old would be able to spell bas**** when he was attempting to label the old neighbours house, but he managed it.
Pink Fairy :rotfl: oh I have an accident prone one, more because he's silly and does silly things like falling off a childs climbing frame when he was 17, hmmm, why he was on it I don't know! Jumped over the fence being lazy, landed on the radiator off my car and did the ligament in on his ankle again. Must say however Bath does sound like it was a very unlucky place for your DPOne day I might be more organised...........

Have only had time to read the last page . . .
Will miss you Nicki - try not to stay away for too long.
I had a huge weekend.
Spent Friday night and all day Saturday in class hoping to learn to become a Budget Advisor. It was really, really interesting! I've even done the allotted homework already!
Sunday, supposedly the day of rest, was spent cleaning. Didn't get everything done, but quite a bit, and feeling quite pleased to wake up this morning to a cleanish house.
Between OH, kids and me we:
Changed all beds (kids did their own and did a great job of remaking them)
Totally disinfected the kitchen, wiped cupboard fronts, wiped out fridge
Wiped windowsills in kitchen, dining, living.
Sprinkled deodoriser over ALL carpet throughout the house and put the special brush on the vacuum to vacuum carpets. (Kids and dogs have been inside for two weeks, stinks!!)
Swept all hard floors, then washed
Got all washing up to date.
Before bed last night - put on a load of towels for today
See you on the current thread . . .

I mean't as in every time you went there, did something always happen when you were there? Did you dread going? My partner it was usually when I was at work he'd do something, like the falling, getting stuff in his eyes, crashing the car etc etc
My son says I am 'nordy mammy' :rotfl:because I made him tidy some of his room, he had a right tantrum over it, little **** he'll be even more huffed when he's told tomorrow to put everything away again but properly!
Suppose I should go have a look at the next weeks list and sigh.....One day I might be more organised...........
