Is this to do with the books a lot of people ordered for 1p each on their website? Myself included.

Uktim29 I find your comments a wee bit arrogant.
I ordered the books for my three year old son, and he keeps asking where they are. If you visit discount book stores they offer cheap books, so it is not beyond the bounds of reasonability regarding the offer.
What I find disappointing is how WHSmith handled this, I certainly will not be placing an order with them again. How can you have any faith with a company that checks their orders, perhaps does like the price on review, so cancels all the orders ? A very authoritarian attitude with little regard for potential customers.0 -
^95% of other companies would have done exactly the same thing, unless they have taken your money they owe you nothing legally
even if you walk into a shop and the price is wrong they dont have to sell it to you!
