No voucher no cashback. It is in their T&C
Read somewhere that 80% of Cashback claims are not redeemed!
Remember if you have >1 phone you will only need one voucher for all the phones. For example I have 3 phones, but onyl send in onve voucher. Also I need to photocopy all 8 or 12 pages of my bill NOT JUST THE 2 PAGES required in the T&C.
It is worth the £96p to send items recorded.
After I got my vouchers (I only got one) I called and said no vouchers sent. So they send a copy but this was 2 weeks after the phone arrived. I've kept that carfully too!
I read the advice on these forums and agree that it is worth calling them to check that the paperwork has been recieved and is in order and on their computer system. I did this recently. Called twice got disconnected when you here the long message about cashback press # to join the cashback calls Q. I did this spoke to a really helpful chap, you confirmed all was well and the Cheques should be out in 21 days. I asked about the previous delay and he said that was part of the CPW buyout. Chatted for a while he even told me where to get cheap phones for when I sell my contract phones on eBay!Seth.0 -
I had a similar bad experience with onestopphoneshop as the previous moneysaver!!
After messing us about for weeks over out of stock phones I decided to give them one last chance to get a phone to us. They said they couldn't process my new order without taking my credit card details again, because the original credit card details were wiped from the system. It was my father who was purchasing the phone so I said I had to call back with his details. I was given a direct dial number to call and I left a message for the bloke. He also had my number to call me back. He didn't phone and I couldn't get through so the next day I thought to hell with these idiots I'm going elsewhere. We ordered a phone from themobs.com (which is another story - see next post!) instead. However, onestopphoneshop processed our order anyway without authoristation or credit card details! Seems our credit card details weren't "wiped" from the system afterall. To add insult to injury the phone arrived on the same day that themobs.com phone was due. My father had opened and used it before phone number 2 from themobs arrived!!
Cut a long story short, onestopphoneshop would accept absolutely no responsibility (and were very rude and unhelpful - it wasn't their problem and I was the idiot for not waiting!) and it would cost £30 admin charge to return the phone to themobs.com. So now we have two contracts! The only saving grace was the fact that you can claim 12 month line rental refunds on both. Have just submitted my claim to onestopphoneshop so wait with baited breath to see whether it comes!0 -
I knew this deal was too good to be true!!!!!!
As cautioned in one of the previous posts you have to be really careful that you get all the T&C right when claiming your cashback. With themobs.com offer I get 12 months free line rental by claiming it back every 3 months.
I submitted all the relevant paperwork and was asked to submit a claim in the 3rd month along with the 3rd bill. I was connected in May so submitted the July bill. They have rejected my claim because they claim its not the 3rd bill!! They want the August bill.
They have said the first bill is only a "welcome" bill and is not a full month's line rental. Even if this were true it's still the 3rd bill I have received from Orange in the 3rd month of connection. Their instructions do not state anything other than 3rd bill.
As it happens though Orange have in fact billed me from 5th May - 7th June on the first bill (May). It just looks like a part line rental because they gave me half price line rental as part of the deal. So the July bill is my third full month's line rental. I have to send them a copy of this!!!!
The CSR was rude and arrogant and kept saying read the instructions. I did and I got it right! Their instructions also state that "refunds are usually credited within 28 days" but the CSR said that is "working" days so I wouldn't have received any payment yet anyway! Their instructions are clearly misleading and inadequate.
It seems they are con men and are trying to wriggle out of paying cashback to customers by making it an extremely painful process. Why do we have to put up with this?????
Has anyone else had this problem?0
