It will be mineral oil and last only around 5,000 miles before it needs changing.
Or you could go elsewhere and use Mobil 1 fully synthetic, and get 15,000 miles.

You should have clicked the link before posting, they actually offer a number of options including
Castrol GTX 10W40 Mineral
Castrol Magnatec 10W40 Semi Synthetic
Castrol Edge 5W30 Full Synthetic
Castrol Magnatec 5W30 Full Synthetic
Castrol Edge 0W30 Full Synthetic====0 -
Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 is not fully synthetic oil. Is it a semi-synthetic and quite poor.
Edge is fully synthetic.
You can bet that a £21 oil change will be mineral oil only.0 -

The Edge oil is £28.80 for the service, available via my link above ^^^====0 -
And I wouldn't put it in my car. I use only Mobil 1 0W-40. The best oil around tbh.0

On what criteria?What goes around - comes around0 -
On the criteria that I can easily run to 15,000 mile intervals with Mobil 1, and Castrol will not support that kind of use. It also supports MB spec 229.3
I once used Castrol GTX semi-synth, it lasted 7000 miles before it wanted changing. Never again.0 -

surely it all depends on what the manufacturer of your engine recommends.
my focus is recommended to use castrol magnatec 5w 30 infact most of the modern fords petrols are recommended to use this....work permit granted!0 -

GM's fully synthetic is specified for 20000 miles between changes, so based on recommended intervals (your criterion) Mobil is not the best. However, I would never run up to 20000 miles or 15000 miles between changes anyway whatever oil is in use.
How did you know the Castrol GTX wanted changing, did it tell you?:rotfl: Or even, how did you know it needed changing?0
