Forget it, she has trashed her credit file and with the ccj's and stuff is not going to get any credit at all. Also the store cards will decline her.

It might take longer than a year. I suggest to get help on the debt free wannabe board.

I applied and was succesful. Now hopefully I can transfer my awful Barclaycard balance if it is a lower APR . Like most on here Barclaycard have upped my APR and my credit limit has been up and down more times than a ... well u get the jist.Only credit file problem is Experian - I went a bit mad at christmas applying , and Equifax is excellent.Accepted for the JJB mastercard.

You clearly have some really adverse info on your credit file. As you have been turned down for all the sub prime cards I would guess you will not any credit in the near future. Concentrate on rebuilding your credit worthiness. This may mean noting more than waiting for the CCJS to fall off after six years. Sorry to say there is no magic wand.

I was in your position seven years ago. I got a Capital One Classic card two years ago. I am now in the fortunate position that I can get mainstream cards at a low APR.

Thanks for this ... I've applied for one of there Donate As Your Spend cards and they have indeed only searched Equifax! Which is just as well as there are hardly any searches on there ....

I didnt know that searches made to different CRA,s are not linked. I assumed they were.

After I got the message to say I had been accepted , I got a call today to confirm my details and said the paperwork was on its way to sign. Strange thing is when I checked Equifax/Experian , I have no searches registered at all ? Anyone else had this...
