The only grated I can remember seeing was a tesco value that called itself "mozarella cheese style substitute" - hmmm - I buy the square hard one and grate it at homeI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080

Yes, it's Tesco. Comes in a green topped bag that looks just like their normal grated mozarella, hence the reason why I bought it accidentally today when I really wanted the full fat stuff.
Ha ha, just edited after realising that this thread is years old. I'd been Googling this cheese to see whether or not I should eat it or bin it!0 -
Sainsburys do a grated half fat mozarella too. They sell it in the teeny tiny one down the road from me so it's a widely stocked line. IKWYM about wanting half fat pre grated. People say you can grate it yourself (which I do most of the time) but sometimes the convenience of ready grated is better than having a block. I find my boyfriend always slices huge hunks off a block to grate if I'm not quick enough grating whereas if there's a bag of pre-grated he doesn't get the chance so it goes further!0

I like the proper mozarella and dont mind grating it myself. the cheap or low fat versions taste like plastic to me. I would prefer a little real mozarella to the plastic version. this is one instance where low fat really equates to low taste.0
