How disappointing for you!
I think I would do as Steviebabes says and leave negative feedback too.
I think you should also add to your list of things "people need to know....."
Then and Than - It's "more than" NOT "more then"!
It's one of my bugbares.
Thanks

Do a non performing seller complaint, it will be marked against their file and if they do this kind of thing too often will get them a short suspension. It may make them think twice about doing this to someone else.
It alway surprises me though that people allow themselves to get caught with such a blatant lie, do they not realise that searches on sellers and buyers are easy on ebay? Did the seller really think thta no one would check if this really was a duplicate listing or not?
I had the same with a recent non paying bidder claimed to have been in hospital with a sick child (aren't they always!) and when I checked they had been buying and leaving feedback all the time they said that no one had access to the account to pay me. When I pointed this out they claimed I had somehow hacked their account to get this information and they were going to report me as their purchase history was private and I shouldn't be looking.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Getting them kicked off ebay for a 99p piece of clothing is a bit harsh..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Someone has made a mistake somewhere along the line, unlike the rest of the baying pack, I'd just put it down to experiance, and not report them to ebay or neg them.
I'm sure there will be another of the same thing along shortly."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Tut tut. That doesn't sound like a one off mistake to me.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I doubt very much that Ebay could have messed it up, it sounds like a bit of a lame excuse either for wanting more for it or not wanting you to collect because of the postage.
I've had people before come up with excuses and normally give people the benefit of the doubt that "the dog ate it" or whatever, but this is so obviously an excuse I would report them and leave a neg.0 -

I understand people making mistakes, surely the right thing for her to have done would be to admit she made a mistake.....not tell an outright lie!My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say
Ignore......check!0 -
I'm favouring the postage charge being their profit margin theory, collection therefore takes that away. I've no idea why they lied though, they would have been entitled to say no to collection if it wasn't one of the options stated in the auction.
I'd keep an eye on the sellers future auctions because if these items are not listed twice they'll reappear in a week or two!0 -
They wont get kicked off for a first offence, but it will teach them not to do it again.Brooker_Dave wrote: »Getting them kicked off ebay for a 99p piece of clothing is a bit harsh...
If other buyers have made the same compliant, then in my opinion they deserved to be booted.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

It's not about the money. People who do this sort of thing ruin Ebay for the rest of us. Dishonesty is dishonesty, no matter if it's 99p or £99.0
