Drifter34. As a dad of a prem i want to thank you for your knitting daniel was lookly friend had knitted for him so we had cardigans and hats. From this and 18moths on we have started a group knitting for the hull SCBU. and we are putting together a knitting book for prems we start from a 8" chest cardigan and a 7 1/2" hat. My knitting ladys love doing it and i have started to knit to i love knitting the hats up a prem hat for small ones only take 9 grams so you can use an odds and ends and most of the group give me there odds and ends to use. but like you we are always on the look out for more free wool or very cheap as we don't expect to be paid for the items we give the unit. So i guess if anyone in the hull or east yorkshire area want to join the group please pm me and the same goes if you have any wool or buttons to help.0

I have knitted off and on for years but now my children are teenagers they obviously do not want knitted jumpers, but there are times when I wish there was something to knit as I really enjoy it. This is ideal so thank you for making my hobby worthwhile and giving me the chance to get back into knitting.0

Hi everyone,
I have just realised you are talking about Bonnie Babies! My mother in law knits for them. They do the most amazing job and are a really small charity. They supply clothing, blankets and sadly burial outfits for premature babies. If anyone wants to help them then please go to the website www.bonniebabies.co.uk and join the forum. You will be able to have a chat with the other people who knit and sew for them and see what an amazing job they do.
I nominated them for a donation from the MSE charity, the short list still has not been made but if they make it please consider giving them your vote. They are totally none profit and the volunteers donate their own materials. It costs around £8 to post a package to a hospital and the currently send items to over 80 hostipals.
Any help is always greatfully recieved.
