St John Ambulance do a little un-fold-out thing of emergency first aid procedures and (last I checked) give out flat shields which you can use to give CPR hygienically-ish. These are worth carrying in your wallet. On a more serious note, my Amex Blue still seems to get ooooos from the occasional cashier - and it's a lot free-er than black/etc. cards which seem to be priced only for their ability to put across a message :D.

[ETA] I also recently came across this nifty MSE tool for gathering all card loss numbers. Those card protection services were only a tenner a decade ago - I wonder whether people are so careless or they're just all very profitable. I have a spreadsheet which lists everything in my wallet so I don't forget the copious number of, err, library cards I have in there.

Experian search appears as search type "enquiry"

account can be opened by phone and no ID is required if CRA ID check is OK

Being Islamic is optional (however they close for Jummah prayer on Friday -and it would not be a good idea to disturb them durring this)

Experian search type - Identification: Money Laundering Prevention

they will add previous addresses to the CRA linked address section

account can be opened in branch or by post

internet banking will be launched soon according to annual report

Islamic current account also available :)

United National Bank is the easier account to obtain

Also does this bank "report" the happenings of the account to the CRA vultures every month? ie does it make a credit agreement entry on your file with green, yellow, red dots and all that?

Not that account (United National Bank)

Islamic Bank of Britain do though

I would suggest Indian bank's like State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda - they don't get involved in green, yellow or red dots
