Thanks, No I don't think they do contactless cards, I was just curious. Even cards issued recently are not contactless.
They either have no plans to issue contactless (maybe its too modern) or they are using up the stock first.0 -

:T brilliant. i don't mind my card not being contactless. i tend to use it for drawing out cash. spending is all on Amex for cashback / Barclaycard as backup with 0% on purchases / TSB Debit for 5% cashback upto £5/m

Why has the childs branch been removed from the rbs branch finder?0

Hmmm, is it gone…..
But Drummond's is still there.
I hope they are not closing it.
I expect its something to do with Willaims and Glyn sale.:think:0 -
Try manually inputting the sort code for Child London (158000) as opposed to attempting to inputting "Fleet Street London" when asked to nominate a opening branch. This worked for me, I applied online last week and when I received the paper application documents to sign a few days later, it clearly reads that my opening branch is "Child London". So now let's see if I receive a Child & Co branded card and cheque book or the generic RBS debit card and cheque book.0

It is a strange one, I previously posted about successfully nominating child and co as a opening branch. Anyway a month prior to applying for the account online, I contacted RBS customer services because the Child branch option was missing from branch locator. I was told by the customer services operator that the child branch option was temporarily removed from the choose a branch prompt on the online application, and would be reinstated as an branch opening option in late November. The CS operative elaborated that this is probably due to change over of the existing stock of Child branded debit cards to be replaced by the contactless child branded cards. Probably and educated guesses don't particularly answer what is being queried on this forum, however it is interesting what I was told.0

As RBS are transferring all the english RBS accounts to Williams and Glyn next year, does this only apply to accounts held at an england based branch or all england residents?
I bank with RBS and my current account is at a scottish branch but I live in england.0 -

I'd apply for a Child & Co account if I know for certain that it'll be a Child & Co branded debit card.
Just for the novelty!0
