ok thankyou I still haven't made that final decision yet on which one to buy but the other helpful members on the forum have pointed me in the direction using their own experiences.0

I'm watching this thread with interest as I'm in the same situation as the original poster in that I have no space anywhere for a tumble dryer. During dry weather everything goes outside on the line to dry but during wet weather the washer/dryer does come in very useful. At the moment I have an Ariston but it is very sensitive to anything such as small coins etc being left in pockets which have resulted in several engineer call outs. Luckily had a bargain offer of £65 for several years extended guarantee! Our old washing machine had a coin trap so I'll be looking for that next time in a washer dryer. Also I'm looking at energy ratings and delay timer.
So far Miele seems to be the best for what I need. Unfortunately they're also very expensive so I think I'll be saving up my pennies!0 -
Speedy, I still haven't took the plunge and purchased one yet... but will need to do so within the next 3 weeks... such a worry isn't it. That post/link by Kwatt is really good and informative...0

I've had a Zanussi 1600 rpm spin washer/dryer for 5 years and wasn't aware of people having problems with combis until I read these posts. My sister has had one trouble free for 8 years.
I have never had a single problem and would not hesitate to recommend. There are various dryer settings, store dry - which I usually use, Iron dry which leaves items slightly damp for ironing etc. Sheer convenience, load up go out or whatever and have the clothes dried to your requirements.0
