Loads of bad feedback coming????

I don't leave feedback when the transaction doesn't go well. Eg I bought a toy for baby and it arrived filthy and stinky, asked for money back, offered refund when I return item, which I never managed to do, as quite busy. So can't quite leave a neg, I don't seem to use the neutral facility.
Or, found the description of an item was a complete fabrication (usable but not the designer I was after), got apology, but because I was okay to keep the item as didn't pay designer price, again can't leave neg.
Otherwise I shell out positives left right and centre
It's a bit selfish not leaving a neg in that the the seller thinks they can continue to sell in such a manner, and other buyers are not given adequate warning of those poor selling methods.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -

My feedback is normally around 80% return rate, but at the moment it's only around 20% of sales over week old.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -
So I'm a selfish wuss
I just hate confrontations, ever since when I did fight my corner I lost spectacularly (with very unpleasant emails) - I now know when to just let it go. Besides in all cases I didn't fully let the seller work out the problems, so can't leave negatives.:wall:0 -
I think more and more people are coming to the conclusion that feedback is a joke.
It doesn't accurately reflect the quality of member or transaction as it is now far too overshadowed by other things.
Not enough people are willing to be honest as they guard their scores too jealously and fear a neg in return for example. Not enough people are fair with their feedback when a positive is deserved, simply because they want their own positive first.
It's all these little things that make a mockery of a rating system.
I used to religiously leave feedback for every transaction....I now only leave it for those that I believe are genuinely good, fair eBayers.
I wont leave any for the 'please leave me feedback and as soon as you do, I'll leave you some in return' people. As far as I'm concerned, if you cant leave me feedback purely on the basis of recognising my part in the transaction (which is always exemplary.....good, polite comms/fast payment etc) then you wont be getting any off me at all as you are then holding me to ransom and that, I dont appreciate.Herman - MP for all!0 -

You've quoted almost word-for-word the automatic message that Selling Manager Pro sends out. It's pretty blunt, but not really the seller's fault. My TV is broken!

See that's where we disagree.
I understand the need for automation after a seller replying to my other thread explained his situation and volume of feedbacks etc....BUT the feedback thing is still just plain wrong, imo.
It's a bit of a tough situation I suppose, but ease of use does not (or should not) override fairness.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Ah, well you're getting into a whole 'who leaves feedback first' thing then. And I have an odd feeling we'D disagree about that tooMy TV is broken!

I have left feedback for every transaction i have ever done in the past 5 years or so, whether its selling or buying. I'm not happy when the other person doesn't, even if they just leave the comment 'thanks' (like i do sometimes) then it is better than nothing.0

I just left my first negative feedback (apart from a couple to NPBs). I'm sure I will get revenge feedback in a minute, but as a buyer it doesn't affect me really, but it certainly does damage the seller, which is what I want.0

You don't have to send that message, I've never had mine switched on and I use that system. You can also edit the message to be more personal if you insist on using it. The default message sounds like you're begging, I'd much rather a customer told me what was right or wrong with the transaction than mess about with feedback..0
