Loads of bad feedback coming????

I was wondering if everyone has buyers who don't leave feedback and why. If this is the case then when the new rule comes in can all these buyers now leave a neg or is it the transaction that has to have been after May. Hopes this makes sense.

I am a seller with over 1000 feedback and 4 negatives. I am also a buyer and very often should leave a negative and don't as I would get 1 back. The last 2 items I bought from buyers with 100% feedback and I was a coward who should have spoilt their 100% feedback rating by leaving both of them a neg. Basically they didn't deserve to keep this rating. I am having a rest from selling and I do miss it. But what I don't miss is the buyers who bully you for part refunds or complete refunds also the people who realise you didn't use special delivery on an item and say it hasn't arrived so refund and free item. What annoyed me in the end was a buyer would leave great positive feedback so then I would leave a positive ( learnt the hard way not to leave postive feedback till the buyer has left feedback)then they would add a reply underneath the original positive with a coment which seemed to me to be a negative comment. Hope you understand what I mean. But most of my customers were great and made it all worthwhile when they bought other things from me.
  • i have 10 transactions out of 22 that ended 2 weeks ago, which havent left feedback yet, it has to be a record for me. i dont think they are waiting to leave a neg as all were posted immediately after payment and were as described. its really wierd though, i usually only get the odd one who doesnt leave any.

The new feedback rules will not be backdated, so any outstanding feedback is subject to current rules.

I've been wondering this as well, and a few other people have noticed that feedback is drying up over the last few days.

My feedback is normally around 80% return rate, but at the moment it's only around 20% of sales over week old.

I've had that, some have even come back for more items, yet no feedback.

That said some people just don't ever leave feedback good or bad.

I have a business account as well as a personal one on ebay.. we have around 800 feedback and 3 negs.. We have excellent customer service and all 3 of our negs are from idiot buyers and nothing to do with the product or service provided. :(

I do suspect that some buyers are hanging back and intend to plunge in feet first once they think it's safe.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I can't help feel giving unchecked power to the buyer will only result in more undeserved negatives and poor DSRs across the board. Assuming this happens to all sellers equally, it won't make any odds in terms of search prominence. However I can't actually see how anyone will qualify for fee discounts within a couple of months, and I don't think this possibility has escaped Ebay either!

For all the private sellers out there, I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about, the playing field is still as level as it always has been. In fact, with more attention to detail and better customer service than some businesses can manage, private sellers could actually be the winners in all this yet.

I don't leave feedback when the transaction doesn't go well. Eg I bought a toy for baby and it arrived filthy and stinky, asked for money back, offered refund when I return item, which I never managed to do, as quite busy. So can't quite leave a neg, I don't seem to use the neutral facility.
Or, found the description of an item was a complete fabrication (usable but not the designer I was after), got apology, but because I was okay to keep the item as didn't pay designer price, again can't leave neg.

Otherwise I shell out positives left right and centre :D

#10 You're waaay too nice! You're nothing like my lot. Had one today .....

    She: 'the item I've received isn't Ivory, it's Cream/Yellow'
Me: 'Sorry if you've not happy with it, it is the item as in the photos, but if you're not happy with it please send it back for a full refund'
She: 'No, it's lovely. I just wanted to make sure you had sent the right colour'

Off to catch an elephant to see what Ivory looks like .....
