Well done on the shopping:T - it's not easy these days is it:p0

Well, we've changed the Organic veg order to save a bit of money only getting it fortnightly now, especially as a bag lasts us just over a week. We'll hopefully use special offers to top up in between and hopefully save a bit of money. Plus my lettuices are starting to come through now, and hoping to a few bits from my Dad eventually. I feel really guilty as I think a lot of people will be cancelling due to the credit crunch (infact my sister cancelled hers last month). Total spending for last week was only £5 over budget and considering we went out on day trips for two days I think this was excellent. Hopefully I'll be under budget this week.0

Well still feeling guilty about cutting back on the organic veg bag. Yesterday would have been delivery day, but still have enough of last weeks bag to last us till Friday/Saturday, so won't have to buy anything else for a couple of days at least. Think I will have over spent this week due to topping up on a few basics, but hopefully savings on the Veg delivery will make up for this. Managed to get a couple of things on offer yesterday so they should last us a while and save us a few pennies.0

A cheap day yesterday just bought Milk and Washing Up Liquid. Wehad home made burgers made out of left over mince from Previous day (we usually use half a pack of mine one day and the other half the next day). With the Burgers we had some salad leaves from the Garden. They were lovely tasted really nice, not buy bagged salad ever again.0

Learnt a bit of a lesson yesterday, went to the shop yesterday after work to get a few bits. Only to find my purse wasn't in my bag, luckily it had fallen out of my bag at work and was in the bottom draw of my desk, but a I did have a bit panic about as all of my debit cards and credit cards were in there, if I had lost my purse I waould have had to cancel every single card. Meaning I would not be able to get access to any money or be able to pay for anything on card, until new cards were issued. When I get home tonight I will be leaving only 1 credit card and 1 debit card in my purse. The rest will be put somewhere safe at home for emergencies only, If I;m not using a card I don't need to carry it around.0

Think I might have to forget about Mortgage overpayments for this Year, as I really want to replace the front door and back door this year. Unfortunately I have no idea how much these things cost and don't want to get a quote if I can't afford to get the work done. Think I'm also going to insulate the pipes in the airing cupboard and get a second jacket for the hot water tank. The upstairs of our house seems to be constanly hot at the moment and I'm sure it heat coming from the airing cupboard. So hopefully doing this will mean I don't have to heat the hot water as often. Just need to get round to doing it now.0

Found something good, I can get 5% discounts on some shopping vouchers using my Virgin Credit card (which I only got to get £40 off my Virgin Media Bill). Ordered a few Sainsbury's ones it should save some money as shop there a lot. Plus it might be helpful for Christmas.0

Savings are doing better than planned but haven't made any additional over payments as yet, so I've decided to contact the BS to increase the payment by an additional £5 a month. I know this isn't much, but plan to increase it by £5 at a time, that way I won't feel it in my pocket as much and its an easy amount to reduce spending by. I'm also trying hard to reduce our Gas and Electric usage, to cut costs further that way as well.0

Good Luck with the energy reduction:T0

Well this week managed to reduce electric usage by 0.5KWH per day, but the Gas usage went up. Mortgage company have confirmed that the balance at 7 August is £25,048.17, not under £25K yet but getting closer. It seems to be going down very slowly.0
