• Just ordered mine for the north west at a £1. Entered my debit card details and everything fine. Have put a note in my mobile's calendar to remind me to cancel after twelve weeks.

Well chuffed 12 issues for a quid!!, all went thru ok, no credit card option as suggested but DD ok by me. Didn't take a quid off me but maybe that will happen by DD, anyone know?

Hi,

Thanks for this, struggled to get the area changed then it would only accept credit card so rang subscriber number on RT website, quoted code, and got offer over phone, for me and in laws. Also got offered any other BBC magazines at 3 for £1 so got Cbeebies and Dr Who for kids. Really helpful staff. Have used these offers before and as soon as DD has gone out of your account cancel DD and ring or email them. The magazines will continue then til the offer ends and you don't get caught paying full whack. You get a letter saying when the DD goes out so watch your account then cancel it.
• Hi everyone

I've just spoken to the BBC about the issues some people have had getting this offer. It seems a few people in the North West/Yorkshire/North East region had problems using the code RTME1208 but this has now been fixed. Anyone that got the 4 issues for £1 instead of 12 can contact the subscriptions department on Tel 01795 414 740 (Lines open Mon-Fri: 8.30am-6pm, Sat: 10am-2pm) or email bbccs@dovetailservices.com and they will amend your order. Or you can PM me (click on my name in the top left and click on 'send a private message to MSE Wendy') and i will look into your order.

Thanks

Wendy

Many thanks for this tip. I have been doing the 4 for a £1 quite regularly!!
• I've just finished a 12 for £1 RT offer that I had a code for from Virgin Media last year. Can I apply for another 12 for £1 ?

Re. cancelling Direct Debits, I cancel as soon as they take the £1 out of the bank, usually when I receive the 1st issue. You still get all 12 issues, it just means you don't leave it to the last minute ! And with internet banking cancelling them is dead easy.
• Thanks for this, well impressed with 3 months of RT for a quid :T
Set a reminder in my calendar to cancel after 12 weeks.
• Great, no problem to do - thanks very much
