What's the deal?

The BBC is offering 12 copies of the Radio Times for £1 if you subscribe to get the mag. The mag comes once a week so this is three months worth of magazines.

The standard offer is for four magazines, but as there are some promotions out there that give 12 issues. We spoke to the BBC about this and it said it was ok for us to tell you about it, but wanted us to use a special link (which uses code RTME1208) so it can track how many people do it this way..

IMPORTANT. Unless you cancel after 12 weeks, you pay £19.99 every 6 months.

You will need to give direct debit details to subscribe, but cancel when you recieve the 12th issue and you'll only be charged the £1. If you do not cancel you will be then charged £19.99 every six months, for 26 weekly issues.

There are six regional versions of Radio Times, make sure you choose your correct region from: London/Anglia/Midlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, West/South/South West and North West/Yorkshire/NorthEast.

I've just spoken to the BBC about the issues some people have had getting this offer. It seems a few people in the North West/Yorkshire/North East region had problems using the code RTME1208 but this has now been fixed. Anyone that got the 4 issues for £1 instead of 12 can contact the subscriptions department on Tel 01795 414 740 (Lines open Mon-Fri: 8.30am-6pm, Sat: 10am-2pm) or email [EMAIL="bbccs@dovetailservices.com"]bbccs@dovetailservices.com[/EMAIL] and they will amend your order.

PM me (click on my name in the top left and click on 'send a private message to MSE Wendy') if you are having problems getting the 12 issues and i will look into your order, i won't be able to help with other queries though so contact the subscription team with other questions.

Where's the link from?

This offer is mentioned elsewhere on the forum by bambam82, so thanks for the top spot. When we spotted the offer we checked with the BBC about the deal and it asked us to use this specific link so it could track how many people asked for the mags. Whilst it's a special link, there is no commercial relationship between MSE and the BBC.

Hi, thought this was a good offer for us, but I keep getting a message to say that the RTME1208 code is not valid! Is it me or what?

Took advantage of this offer the last time it did the rounds - excellent deal! Another good one is Inside Soap - similar offer - 12 issues for 99p

Sounds good but I'm struggling. when I change the selection from Anglia area to the magazine for my area it won't allow the code and only offers this one - WEB0806 - which doesn't seem to give the 12 copies, only 4.
Any advice from those people who made it work would be welcome!

Excellent! I have been intending to take up the 4 for a £1 offer. Worked fine for me - must press GO when you change the region.
