Could I just fry a couple of thin slices of apple for the scallops and balck pudding to sit on? Would they disintergrate.0

Now am I being thick or could I replace the water in that micro recipe with vinegar to make a chutney style or would that be nasty?0

a very quick simple chutney recipe
chopped fruit and onion finely chopped
fry in a little butter and oil til softened - add a bit of chopped garlic if you like and fry one min more.
add a glass or two of white wine for pale fruits and red wine for red fruits. bring to boil.
add a tablespoon of wine vinegar and salt and pepper, simmer a couple of mins til the sauce is reduced and sticky - taste and if too sharp add sugar if sweet add more vinegar.
serve!

In sterilised jars, properly sealed? Months.
In the fridge? A couple of weeks if it's cold enough.0 -
