jo_b wrote:I think the point is that we're not all receiving the vouchers though. I am still waiting for a voucher ordered in July and another in August. If the vouchers actually arrived within a timescale set by Pigsback, then I'd be in wholehearted agreement with you. Unfortunately, they don't.
True, but we do all know now that they do come. My advice would be email them. If you are using hotmail then make sure that they are not blocked, and add their details into your contacts. They do email back and they do try to help, if they are relying on other companies to provide the vouchures, then I'm sure we are all able to sympathise a bit, we have all felt what it is like to be let down by a third party etc.
Patience and understanding is needed I think, as they do seem to be a legit company, regardless of vouchure times we do all seem to still feel that the amount of effort we put in is worth the wait (or else Im sure those who don't wont be reading this thread anymore!).
I just feel a bit like there are a hell of a lot of people (and this is not directed at any one person just general reading of the thread) who happily take from Pigsback, continue to go back nd yet moan and winge repeatedly. I think we should all be a bit grateful, as by far they seem to be the highest paying incentive site.0 -

Am now being sent surveys where I am rewarded with 600 points so it is easy to get them.Registered Childminder and mum of three.

A second reason for my making that post was the general interest to PB users, concerning the amount that PB may themselves make on our clicks.
As an earlier perceptive poster wrote, there is a lot of money behind PB, and we should treat them as any business. When they get it all working smoothly, there will be no complaints. In the meantime, unanswered emails (your advice to email them must have raised many a wry smile here), non-delivery of vouchers, administrative foul-ups, etc., will cause folk to have a moan.
Don't get me wrong: I've earned £20-worth of L2S vouchers, and so has DW. I have enough points for a third, but they haven't got them in stock - a minor frustration which perhaps you will be generous enough to allow me (and several others) to complain about. (An incentive company without incentives is a bit daft, don't you think?)
I have said before that I think that PB's intentions are good, but they are let down by amateurish implementation. If they cause their clients frustration (or worse), then they should know about it.
In the meantime, yes, I and most others will continue to benefit from the business model which PB themselves have set out.lush_walrus wrote:I couldnt give a pigs ear how much they pay for the vouchers, what matters to me is what I can use them for and how much they are worth to me for retail.
Me neither. I'm glad to get my vouchers. But we shouldn't consider that they are doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. It is a business designed to make money. Nothing wrong with that - it provides employment and diversity. But we are not robbing the poor to become rich.lush_walrus wrote:I think too much flack is being directed at Pigsback
Many people don't. If a business upsets its customers, they will rightly complain.lush_walrus wrote:I just feel a bit like there are a hell of a lot of people (and this is not directed at any one person just general reading of the thread) who happily take from Pigsback, continue to go back nd yet moan and winge repeatedly. I think you've answered your own points. Yes, there are a lot of people who are unhappy. That's why there are so many moans!
We are not "taking" from PB: they are offering an incentive for us to do business with them, and we accept. I expect that they are making more money than we are!
I'm grateful to the staff who work there, making the site interesting and fun. I'm not grateful for the incentives, as they are offered so that they can make a profit! They are not a charity organisation, but I can be grateful to individual employees.Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
few quick questions
Where is the crossword on the site and do you get points for it
Also Bec28 - where do you sign up for the surveys? 71 Pages is a lot to trawl through to find it!I'm Not A Dog But I May Be Mad0 -
Perhaps we should petition Pigsback to introduce some more voucher rewards, especially electronic ones (Amazon etc), that way there shouldn't be any delay in claiming them when people have the appropriae points!
I'm sure they could get a decent deal with Amazon for bulk buys too.0 -
Mad Dog, the crossword can be found by clicking on the link to it, on the RH side of the home page, under "Fun Stuff", or click http://www.pigsback.com/offers/932888210/default.asp. (Not sure if this changes daily). No points for doing it, unless you'repicked out as the daily winner, in which case you get 2000 points. One of our number on here said that she had won the crossword comp one day.
For surveys, you can find the Lightspeed page at http://www.pigsback.com/offers/899608791/default.asp
HTH.
Edit: Sorry, the 600-point survey that bec28 mentioned is by invitation. Watch your email box!Much of the social history of the Western world over the past three decades has involved replacing what worked with what sounded good. - Thomas Sowell, "Is Reality Optional?", 19930 -
