Sorry to sound dull but I've been buying and selling on ebay for ages but never heard of this.. Is it enough with ONE neg and neutral to be restricted from selling...??Brooker_Dave wrote: »Well I've been booted off again, a neg (from a non payer) and a neutral (from a loon) was all that was needed.0 -

It's not actually just feedback that is considered under the new rules. I'm really bad at explaining myself, but I'm sure someone will be along later who can explain it better, but meanwhile....
Ebay now assess the whole buyer satisfaction experience for each seller, that is the number of neutrals and negatives, plus the stars given plus any complaints received etc. If you are considered to be in the bottom 5% of sellers in any 90 day period you get a warning and/or suspension until you overall buyer satisfaction improves. The obvious flaw there is that as you can't sell if you are on a temporary ban you can't do anything other than hope that any outstanding feedback comes in positive with high stars and that buyers don't make any more complaints.
This is why it is os important to keep on top of the stars, if they start to slip do something about it before it is too late.
Incidentally, this idea of overall buyer satisfaction has bene runnin gon Amazon for a while, but there even making refunds for any reason can be enough to get you suspended.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The star rating come into play too, my stars were low, particually comms, so watch those stars.
There's another thread from last week where someone with 99% feedback got the push.
A warning rather than an instant suspension would be a better way of solving this, and I don't know why people are barred from bidding as well.
That said this is my third suspension, so I should have tried harder I suppose..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"
