How are you this morning?Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0

            Morning El
Shows how far out of the loop I am; I thought your son's results weregood but evidently they are not good enough.
Am sulking at you over the diesel consumption - I am lucky if I get 34 mpg (petrol) and that is on a long motorway run!.0

hi rich ...thanks for the text...
peb whilst his results were good he needs 4 b's to get into uni something he couldve easily done but due to moving out etc he didnt manage so he wont get accepted into uni but is going to try and get in under exceptional circumstances...
wow your petrol consumption is really high what engine size are you? how much are you a week on petrol then?0

I have a 2 litre Golf Cab so it is my own fault. If lucky a full tank lasts 2 weeks, it cost near on £70 to fill it last time. I'm accordingly being a bit cautious on accepting mystery shops as the last one I did cost a fortune in fuel.
Insurance is up for renewal and I can't get it under £500!
 My luxury though....0

Good luck to DS in negotiating with Uni - he's not that far off 4 Bs - better on one, worse on the other - I guess it depends on how competitive the course is and whether the one he dipped on was the most relevant one or not.
Hope he gets in - love the thought of you going down the union with him!! 0 0

well I hope he manages to get on a course that he fancies this year whether you are there to embarrass him or not.;) Just think how nice he would be to you outside uni just so you wouldn't do anything to humiliate him - as if you would.
my wee car is a 1.1 litre, next time when I'm all organised and plan/budget for a car it'll be a diesel or lpg. Every little bit we save on fuel is money in our pockets so I'll keep going at this lark!Mortgage OP 2025 £7500/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I'd sit down and work out how many miles you do first. Although diesel gets more mpg, it's also more expensive to buy, both at the pumps and the forecourt.

could you send me that again in 4/5 years? Will have to wait that long at least! and who knows what I'll be doing by then? (note to self to buy lottery ticket!) lpg is cheaper at pump though but there don't seem to be many cars around for sale.
