            Hello
I am new to this and wondered if anyone could give any advice. I have a small business loan, personal loan and credit card with HSBC. I also had another loan and credit card with other creditors. All was well until my small business failed and I am left with not enough income to cover my current monthly payments. I owe HSBC £35,000 and they have offered me a managed loan. My current payments to HSBC are £400 for pers loan and £420 for business loan plus £180 to ccard (although only minimum payment) so total montly payment (before running into problems) was £1100. If I had managed to keep up these payments, my personal loan would be finished in under 2 years and my business loan in 3. Instead, HSBC have now offered me a managed loan, at a much higher interest rate (nearly 19%) and I will have to pay £650 per month for the next 12 years!
I have the paperwork here in front of me and am despairing. Surely this can't be right? I am thinking of going bankrupt but am so worried as supposed to be emigrating to Australia with my whole extended family early next year and think bankruptcy will mean I won't be able to go as planned. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
 Many thanks.0

You would be best posting your own thread Hun you'll get a lot more answers...
I'm not sure what the best advice for you is but I can say if you are emigrating OZ wont let you with a bankruptcy still active.
 Hey El !
Thanks for your texts back today £500 ! I couldnt believe it I have the Home insurance lawyers getting in touch I naively thought I could do this without them but with all the stress I dont think I can felt myself going down the other day and feeling the tears loading last night talking to my friends about it.
Might have to go back and see the Good Doctor.
Hows the plan!Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0

I have a back pack and am waiting..i very nearly had my piccie taken, but refused extortionate fees until we are there for real..must be the MSE in me..we can all chip in and pay the £6 together, although reckon it will be about £10 by then:rotfl: :rotfl:
Had a bit of an epiphane as well..have you thought about the odd pair of crocs? sounds daft but i did a lot of walking in them on hols and reckon they will be good for flat roads and blisters..like walking on air ..v. comfortable:TBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
