well i have just won £5 at gala shock horror havnt won anything for a long long time so a welcome bonus ....now i have started turning plugs off at the socket i had heard that you can save a fortune turning things off at the wall ...i know they talked about leaving the t.v on standby well i have never done that i always turned it off i didnt realise that you still had electricity running through it if the switch was on ...well i turned the t.v off last night and hubby couldnt get it on today so was moaning i cant get the f*ing t.v on etc made me get up as well (kinda glad about that in retrospect) so i got up and explained what i was doing and he was like yadda yadda yadda el dont be such a skin flint so i informed him that if i was taking all the time and effort to do daily clicks just to make 20p or so a day the least he could do is accept these things get turned off cause that amounts to another daily click thn left him to think about that for a while ....he came back after half an hour saying right i have turned the radio off at the switch in the kitchen and i dont mind you turning the t.v off you do have a point ...hopefully with the stupid price rises that are currently going on i might be able to stave some of them off
