El, would an OU degree fit in at all - you can pay with tesco clubcard vouchers apparently, but surely there are some things that you can do that you get grants for with OU?

Never went to uni, so I don't know too much about it - I was lucky that I got into my career when good A levels were enough to prove your intelligence.....for the trainees jobs now in our place they ask for a 2:1 in economics or business as a minimum!!!!!

Time for a "re-assessment" given the changes and things that are going on for you.........get brainstorming with a pad of paper and a large glass of wine (helps the brain cells function, obviously, and is v.good for treating a cold).

Does OH have a realistic idea of what he can do in the future, what he can earn etc or is life full of "what ifs?" at the mo? If the first, then you can at least see what you have to make up as a difference, if the second then you need to work out several different "what if?" scenarios and work out the varying alternative "solutions"......

.....all this takes time, and energy, so don't expect answers from yourself straight away. I have learnt the hard way this week that ploughing on through is not always as beneficial to your own mental and physical health as you think. Don't rush - a few more days to get as much info as you can, and to really think about what is right for you both at the mo, won't "cost" a great deal, but could be very valuable time, well spent.

    xx

well i have phoned in sick for the week i am ill i feel like shoite i am annoyed as well cause i have the overtime and i need the money but i just cant face work ...

as for the O.U sorry it isnt an option when you dont complete three courses they kick you out ..well i had completed on course and was doing two new courses together but some personal stuff happened so i phoned my tutor and the uni admin and explained the situation they suggested i leave it till things settled so i did... then about two years later i went back to it and did the finance course (remember that one) did the first paper got flying results but it was an insult to intelligence it really was so i talked to the tutor (he agreed for me it was too easy) but said stick with it it's an easy pass for you then i got the second paper and i was like no way they seriously cant be making questions up like this so i decided there and then to leave it it was a waste of my time i learned nothing ..only to find out a couple of months later that i was kicked out cause of the three course rule ...so O.U isnt a viable option which is a shame in a way as it wouldve got me what i needed

have spoken to hubby he is going to carry on in his present job as long as possible but i dont think it will be too much longer (he is in denial ofcourse)
basically everything is up in the air and i am banging my head off a brick wall

anyway back to bed for me i think i feel miserable wil start the brainstorming when i can find my brain

Aw hun, you must be feeling ill if you have taken the time off. PLEASE make sure you recover properly. I know that you need the overtime, but you also need your health, physical and emotional, and when you are ill, that throws everything else on the backburner on a while........

bah to the OU and a three course rule.......bah bah bah!

Take time to recover hun, decisions on these things can wait xxxxx
