Ryanair (booking pending)

Last week made a booking for a friend with Ryanair who is coming over from Rome. Went through the usual booking procedure but at the end (confirmation page) I was informed that the booking is pending until a confirmation email is sent out. It has been over a week but no email received, is that normal or I need to chase Ryanair?
If I do need to chase them what would be the best method, on the website they only give premium numbers to call?
cheers guys

If you have the confirmation code (from the final screen), go to the "Review/Change Flights" link and enter the code. If the confirmation has gone through it should say "status: confirmed". I have had this happen to me - status Pending, no email, but when I contacted them they told me it was confirmed - and the "Review/Change Flights" link confirmed it for me.
As for contacting them, use the "rest of the world" contact number with a cheap rate access number for Ireland. Should cost about 0.5p/min.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

I had a status pending booking a while back when the £10.00 all inclusive flights were offered. When I eventually got through to Ryanair a week or so later, I was told that my electron card had been refused. Although I argued that there was money in the account at the time of the booking and could prove it, customer service didn't want to know neither would they try to put the transaction through again. When I tried to rebook there were no more £10 flights available but a few weeks later they appeared again so booked for four of us.0

We had the same last night. No email confirmation and a "pending" on the screen. Tried using "manage your booking" and it wouldn't accept the ID.
After two phone calls both on hold for ages and then once getting cut off, they said the CC company had rejected the transaction and advised to start again.
Rebooked with no problems this morning, just hoping that the first transaction doesn't get approved at a later date. Have phoned the CC Company who were no help.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. Hi Im having the exact same problem, booked Sunday first time it said card declined - using maestro debit as credit card fees higher, 2nd time it seemed to accept it but said booking pending, and card pending, they have still taken no money but ive tried the uk and Irish tel numbers and it just clicks off? Like it doesnt work,
Dont want to re book in case they suddenly charge me as i know how poor their customer services are and id never get the money back,
Causing me great deal of worry this as got hotel booked in Dublin and my expensive concert ticket for Muse in August, but no flights as yet and dont want prices to go up.
I got on screen confirmation number but tried using that and it failed.
Do you think im ok to re book - after this hassle im tempted to use aer lingus!!! but they are £80 pounds, but the £30 ryanair flight is more like £50 with baggage and booking in charge:rolleyes:
Has anyone got tel numbers that work for ryanair please?
Getting v concerned now!!!
Cant think my bank hsbc will help with this? I just need to know it didnt work so i can re book!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

what number did you phone?
First tried the irish number with those lo-call numbers from the phone checker link on the MSE website, but kept getting "the number you are calling is engaged" so then used the 10p per minute number.
They said it was pending because the CC company had rejected the transaction and to start from scratch.
So started again and it came back to credit card not authorising please try again, so phoned the CC company and told them to allow this transaction through while I was on the phone, which they did. All went through fine, confirmed booking and email confirmation recieved. Then told the CC company to block online flight transactions for 48 hours, apparently Egg can do this. Hopefully that will stop Ryan air taking a duplicate booking.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. The number I have for used previously for Ryanair customer services in Ireland is:
+353 1 249 7791
Taken from this page:
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=CONTACT&div=call_ctr(under "Rest of the world")
I can call this number with no problems using my www.nonoh.net account. I tried a couple of direct access providers as listed on this site (http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/ireland) but without success - I guess if I kept trying I might eventually find one that works.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
