Free messages with 02 cards...

got my free sim cards and saw the £40 free calls hack on the forums here.

Anyway, I've got a 20MSSIMN set of cards, and I needed the £30 of free texts. I tried to register, but it was asking me if I wanted to update my phone settings. By completely cancelling the call, I hadn't 'activated' my sim.

Gave it a bit longer, then thought "try and ring someone".

Didn't work

So I text someone

sucess! So I tried it on my own old phone and had no problems. Service balance 0.00p!

Still sending now, got about 30 so far...

hehe, doesn't matter if it doesn't last longer than tomorrow - I'll keep the other o2 sims for days when I'm travelling

wonder if this will work like the geenie ones use to, where you change the time on your clock and it never registers that you've been using the text for 24 hours? might be worth a try.
I cant see how o2 are so hot on stopping these sims from being used like this, a friend of mine was made redundant from a vodafone call center and as part of her leaving package they awarded her a years free line rental or similar, now 2 years on and her highest mobile bill was for £2 so if voda are at least 2 years being i'm sure o2 wont be that quick off the mark either

i have some of those O2 sims and actually given some to mates and used one myself and never know anything like that ??

need to go and dig out the old post here then!

It works but I am concerned that it is fraud and O2 will be able to trace these sims and come looking for their money....
