Have you heard of this http://www.spendingdiary.com/? Its a great was of tracking spending and does charts as well.

I have heard of it but haven't yet had a nosy at the site, think that I will have a look this afternoon whilst DS is in pre-school...even if it isn't for me, it is always worth a look.

Also have you found the grocery challene thread on old style? Long but great thread and it helps me focus on my shopping spends.

Good use of recycling pressies as well.
    - Thanks

That too I have had a look at and am trying to work my way to getting the shopping list down. I am hoping that now DS is at pre-school and DD is low maintenance, I will be able to get on and get something properly sorted with the house and food.

This week has been a bit of a mish mash, we had the T.V license to pay for yesterday, I forgot to mention that one, so there was £139.50 paid but I'd rather get it out of the way in one go so that I'm not worrying about it. Two of my e-bay items haven't sold but I have two items that have watchers so I am hoping that they do sell, fingers crossed...still no housework done, might have to start that again next week.

Other news on the Tea front: Need to nip to Tesco's this morning to finish off the shopping, got the rest on order and will be delivered tomorrow morning; DS is at pre-school this afternoon.

We nipped and saw my friend for her birthday yesterday and she really appreciated her present as I thought she would do, she even said that the box that smellies were in was lovely that she would keep it and use it for something else...so that was a relief :)

We had a starter each, main meal each, one side order and a naan.

Unfortunately neither of us likes chinese which is a bit of a shame as there is a good chinese not too far from us that is supposed to have fantastic food.

Have just done the link and yup £1400 per year on curry is rather excessive, might need to rethink that one and see if we can do something to reduce that.

Hey tea - use Pataks paste! My OH and I used to be a bit mad about curry - now we always have a jar of this in the fridge, lasts easily 3 or 4 times. Throw in whatever veg you have, frozen prawns or whatnot, tin of tomatoes and curry in 20 minutes. Easy peasy x
  • Sounds good bobbadog, will have a look at that.

Guess it beats Tesco's own brand curry too, I always have a jar in the cupboard on standby.
  • Me again,

Not been too bad a day for me.

I have sold one of the kids toys on e-bay this afternoon and I managed to pick up a present for my great-niece for Christmas, it was reduced from £8 to £4 in Woolworths and as I have the money in my Paypal account, I think that this can be classed as coming out of it.

Tesco's wasn't too bad this morning either I spent £35 in all and that includes 24 cans of beer, which isn't too bad as a pint at the local costs £2.20.
