    Morning all.

Well, it's all gloopy and grey and wet out there this morning. Don't know whether to start glossing the windows or not. Hope the weather forecast comes on the radio soon - the met office's online one isn't specific enough really. I will at least, though, get the walls finished.

  • Has anyone ever sanded and refinished a dining table? I have one which is a six seater. I am not sure what sort of wood it is. It's not varnished, I think its just been waxed in the past. It is now looking very sad and tired though and could do with sprucing up. Not sure how to go about it though. Any tips gratefully received.

    Hi Sharon,

I did with the table in the kitchen. It had been previously varnished. I got some fine sand paper, rubbed it down and then simply painted it with a polyeurothane (spelling might be wrong) varnish - let that dry and then gave it a second coat. The p. varnish is heat resistant and lasts ages (did it initially about 25 years ago and then gave it another coating about 2 years ago)

    Morning All.

Well i am in for this week but not sure how well I will do. For some reason jet lag has been really bad this time but am not grumbling as it was certainly worth it.

Looking after my niece today while mum and dad go to my Nana's house to sort out some things.
